The Lexus NX is one of the company’s most popular models and also one of the segment leaders, despite the fact that it remained largely unchanged since the initial launch in 2014. However, that is going to change soon, as the new generation is on the way. With this redesign, the Japanese manufacturer wants to confirm its position on the market and even improve sales numbers. This particularly refers to new batteries, bigger storage areas and similar things.
Exterior

This refers to bot tech goodies and advanced driver-assist and safety systems.
When it comes to the interior space, we count on slight improvements over the current generation, though we definitely don’t expect to see something significant. The current model already seems decent in this aspect. However, the new model would definitely use a couple more cubes in the cargo area.
2022 Lexus NX Engines
Under the hood, the new 2022 Lexus NX should come with at least two powertrain options in the offer. Of course, the first one that comes to mind is a hybrid. We would probably see the same system as in the RAV4, which is based on a familiar 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine. Still, we won’t be surprises if we see more than 220 horsepower, which is RAV4’s max output.
We are also about to see a gasoline engine option in the offer. That would be a new 2.4-liter turbo-four, with a max output of 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque.
Finally, we could also see the new plug-in hybrid setup, which recently debuted in the RAV4 Prime, which also offers more than 300 horsepower.
2022 Lexus NX Release Date and Price
At this point, the new 2022 Lexus NX is still several months from the premiere. So, the best we could say is that it should hit the market sometime in the second half of the year.
