If we consider the last year’s refresh, which has brought some pretty interesting novelties, it’s pretty much a certain thing that the current generation will remain for some more time. With the updated styling, this crossover looks fresh enough to compete for a few more years and that’s why we are pretty sure that the 2023 Buick Enclave will come without bigger changes. Of course, minor updates are always possible but anything more than a few new features would be a real surprise.
All in all, you may count on a nice-looking crossover, which is very spacious and comfortable. We also like its smooth ride and relatively simple design, which ensures low costs of maintenance. On the other hand, the biggest complaint goes to the interior quality, which is below class standards.
As there are no bigger changes to come, we presume that the 2023 Buick Enclave won’t hit the market before the last quarter of the year.
2023 Buick Enclave Design
As we already mentioned, the recent refresh has brought a lot of interesting novelties. The 2022 model year brought the new styling, which comes with a completely new front end, with new headlights, grille design, front bumper etc. Other areas were updated as well, so it’s pretty much for sure that future updates won’t happen before the full redesign. Still, we won’t exclude the possibility to see things like new color options.
On the other hand, the mechanical aspect of the vehicle definitely won’t change. We are about to see the same layout, based on a familiar C1XX platform, the same one that underpins models like Chevy Traverse and GMC Acadia. The Enclave offers a smooth and comfortable ride but on the other hand, you shouldn’t expect too much athleticism from it.
Although the recent update hasn’t brought bigger interior updates, we have no doubt that the same cabin design will characterize the 2023 Buick Enclave as well. Therefore, you may count on a layout that has both food and bad things. When it comes to things we don’t like, the biggest complaint goes to materials and build quality, which should be at a higher level, considering the price tag.
On the other hand, the 2023 Buick Enclave will continue to impress in terms of interior space, which is no wonder if we consider that this SUV measures nearly 121 inches in wheelbase. This is one of the rare models in the class that accommodates adult passengers in all three rows. The cargo area is also impressive. You may count on about 23.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind its third row, 57.7 cubic feet with the third row folded, and 97.4 cubic feet of the total cargo volume. These are spectacular numbers for the class.
We already mentioned that a couple of novelties on the list of standard equipment could easily happen. However, most of the things will remain the same for sure. So, base models should come standard with goodies like an 8-inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless device charging, HD Radio, satellite radio, a six-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, six USB ports, a Wi-Fi hot spot, tri-zone climate control, keyless entry, remote start etc. Additionally, we count on optional features like a panoramic sunroof, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, navigation, and a 10-speaker stereo.
The same thing is with safety features. We expect that all versions will be equipped with things like a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, automatic high beams etc.
2023 Buick Enclave Engines
Things under the hood definitely won’t change. The 2023 Enclave will continue with the same 3.6-liter V6, which puts out around 310 horsepower. THat’s a pretty decent amount of power, which ensures solid driving dynamics. The engine comes in pair with a 9-speed automatic transmission, which does a decent job too. It is smooth though it can hesitate with downshifts sometimes.
Given the platform, it’s obvious that we are talking about an FWD layout, though versions with all-wheel drive are available too. The average fuel economy goes around 18 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, which is typical for the class. The max towing capacity goes up to 5.000 pounds.
2023 Buick Enclave Release Date and Price
We expect that the 2023 Buick Enclave will hit the market in the last quarter of the year, with a starting price of around 43.000 dollars.
