The legendary Bronco has been revived recently and once again, we can watch the battle between Ford and Jeep with their most prominent off-roaders. If we consider that the new Wrangler Rubicon 392 comes with a huge 6.4-liter V8, we presume that Ford could come up with something pretty similar. So, instead of the efficient 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, we would rather see eight cylinders.
However, we don’t expect to see a monstrous 5.2-liter supercharged V8 that the company prepares for the F-150 Raptor R. Instead, we count on a more traditional approach, on a naturally-aspirated V8. So, the engine that comes to our minds is the good-old, super-reliable 5.0-liter Coyote. More precisely, we count on the same version that powers the Ford Mustang Mach 1, which puts out around 480 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. Of course, the engine would come in pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
