2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk: What to Expect?

The new generation of the legendary SUV is here and it has already received a great reception, both by experts and the crowd. So, what we are waiting for now is to see high-performance versions. Currently, the Grand Cherokee is available only with a 5.7-liter engine but we expect that the SRT and particularly the Trackhawk, will arrive in the near future. The latter will probably arrive for the next year, like the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Still, keep in mind that the officials are still quiet, so make sure to take this with a reserve.

Of course, this version would come equipped with all kinds of upgrades over standard models. The engine is the first thing that comes to mind and, of course, we count on the well-known Hellcat V8. Furthermore, we expect to see upgrades in terms of chassis and suspension, as well as in terms of the styling, which should bring a couple of details that accentuate the model’s performance character.

Of course, the most interesting part of the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk would be the engine. We don’t expect to see surprises in this aspect. The new high-performance version will continue with the well-known 6.2-liter supercharged V8, which featured 707 horsepower in the previous generation. That was enough to provide 0-60 time in just 3.5 seconds. The new model shouldn’t bring any bigger changes. We expect to see either the same or very similar numbers regarding max output. Of course, the engine would come in pair with 8-speed automatic transmission.

Other than the Hellcat engine, we believe that the new generation of Grand Cherokee will be also offered in the SRT trim. This one would come with the well-known 6.4-liter HEMI V8 that puts out around 470 horsepower.

The Trackhawk has always been more than just the engine upgrades. There were always upgrades in many other aspects. Therefore, we expect nothing less from the next-generation model. The first thing that comes to mind is the suspension setup, which should bring some notable upgrades. The previous version featured Bilstein adaptive suspension, so we may expect something similar from the new model as well. Along with the suspension upgrade, we also count on bigger brakes, as well as on a limited-slip differential.

Mechanical upgrades won’t be the only ones. The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk would come with a lot of new styling details as well, to accentuate its high-performance nature. We count on things like more aggressive bumpers, bigger wheels and lower-profile tires, exclusive color options and similar things.

Interior

Interior upgrades are expected too. We count on things like new color schemes, new materials and similar things, as well as on upgrade seats, steering wheels, pedals etc. The instrument cluster would be upgraded as well.

Still, most of the cabin would remain the same, which is not a bad thing at all. Simply, the new generation looks pretty good from the inside, thanks to a combination of attractive aesthetics, nice materials and tech features. We presume that the Trackhawk version would be offered in the two-row model only, which accommodates five adults with ease. This version also offers a pretty generous cargo area with 37.7 cubic feet behind the second row and 71 cubic feet of the total cargo volume.

Features

As we are talking about the most expensive version of the SUV, we expect to see a full load of standard equipment as well. We expect to see it equipped with goodies like quad-zone climate control, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touch screen, a 10.25-inch passenger-side touch screen, navigation, HD Radio, satellite radio, wireless device charging, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

We also count on a long list of standard safety features, which should include driver drowsiness monitoring, lane centering assist, intersection assist, traffic sign recognition, a surround-view parking camera system, parallel and perpendicular park assist, among other goodies.

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Release Date and Price

We believe that the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk could arrive by the end of this year, with a starting price of around 90.000 dollars. Some of the potential rivals are models like BMW X5 M, Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 etc.
