The current generation of Jeep’s subcompact crossover has been around for a pretty long time, given the segment standards. It was introduced back in 2015 and updated a few years ago. However, it looks like the company doesn’t plan a complete overhaul. The latest reports suggest that the 2023 Jeep Renegade Redesign won’t be a full redesign but rather a kind of a facelift. In other words, the current generation will remain in production but with some pretty notable updates.
Most of these updates will come in terms of styling. We are about to see another facelift, which will bring new styling, but also some interesting interior updates. On the other hand, the powertrain is about to remain the same. Of course, we also expect to see novelties in terms of standard and available equipment.

2023 Jeep Renegade Redesign
From what we know so far, the 2023 Jeep Renegade redesign won’t be exactly a redesign. Instead, we will see another facelift and as you may presume, the focus will be on the aesthetics. From what we know, the updated version was already presented in Brazil and it brings some pretty interesting novelties. We believe that the North American version will come in the same way.
So, what we expect to see are primarily novelties at the front. The new model should bring a new design of headlights internals, along with a new bumper and slight grille revisions. A few modifications on the rear end are expected as well, while we also count on typical mid-cycle updates, such as new color options and wheel designs.
On the other hand, the mechanical aspect of the vehicle will remain the same. The Renegade will continue to offer a quite comfortable ride, along with excellent off-road capabilities. The latter particularly refers to the Trailhawk model, which has low-range gearing, hill descent control, a couple of skid plates, off-road tires, and front and rear recovery tow hooks.
Interior
Some interior changes are expected as well. From what we know so far, the new model will come with some dashboard revisions. We expect to see a new design of the center console, along with the new infotainment system and a bigger screen. Another novelty will be a new steering wheel, the same as in the new Compass. Some sources also speculate about the digital instrument cluster.
On the other hand, the overall cabin layout will remain the same, which means that you may count on the same amount of passenger and cargo space. The latter offers around 18.5 cubic feet behind the second row and 50.5 cubic feet of the total cargo space, which is about average for the segment.

Of course, this facelift should also bring some novelties in terms of standard and available equipment. However, if we consider that the current model already stands pretty well in this aspect, it’s pretty much for sure that most of the things are about to remain the same.
For reference, the current model already comes standard with an 8.4-inch touch screen, navigation, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, a USB port, satellite radio, voice recognition, six-speaker stereo, dual-zone climate control etc. Also, there are available features like a premium audio system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster display, ambient interior lighting, proximity keyless entry, remote start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a household-style power outlet, and a dual-pane panoramic roof.
When it comes to safety, the current model comes standard with a rearview camera, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert etc.
2023 Jeep Renegade Engine
Things under the hood won’t change. The 2023 Jeep Renegade will continue with the same 1.3-liter turbo-four, which puts out 177 horsepower and 210 pound-feet of torque.
