The Grand Cherokee has always been one of the most important models for Jeep. So, despite the recent redesign, the company will continue to bring novelties in the following years. The 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee might be particularly interesting, as the latest reports suggest a couple of pretty interesting novelties. Allegedly, we will see big novelties under the hood, while some sources also speculate about an off-road version. The officials are still quiet.
These novelties would certainly make the Grand Cherokee even more competent but the overall layout would remain the same. Therefore, you may count on an SUV that has so many great things to offer, starting from a spacious and pretty luxurious cabin, and a long list of standard and available equipment. Furthermore, the off-road performance is pretty impressive, while the engine lineup will be even better due to the expected updates.
These updates may also indicate a little bit earlier arrival than usual, though still within the second half of the next year.
2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Design
When it comes to the overall design, we don’t believe that the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee could bring more important changes. This will be the third production year of the current generation, which came with some pretty significant improvements compared to the previous model. This doesn’t refer only to the styling, but the mechanics as well. This model now rides on the Giorgio platform, which provides significantly better handling and overall driving experience.
Still, that doesn’t mean that we won’t be seeing novelties in the next year. According to some sources, there’s a big chance to see a new capable off-roader in the lineup. Current, you can get things like four-wheel drive, an integrated off-road camera, a limited-slip differential, skid plates and an adaptive air suspension, but we presume that the new version would also come with locking differentials, a two-speed transfer case, further suspension upgrades etc.
Interior
We don’t believe that the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee could bring bigger changes to the inside. The cabin layout should remain pretty much the same, with all the great things that were introduced with the recent redesign. The new cabin looks great in every aspect, including materials, build quality, tech and convenience features etc. Still, we won’t be surprised to see new color schemes and similar minor updates.
The overall cab design will certainly remain the same, so you may count on the same amount of passenger space, which is pretty generous. Both rows are roomy and accommodate adults in such a nice fashion. The cargo area also offers some pretty decent numbers. You may count on 37.7 feet of space behind the second row and 70.8 cubic feet of the total cargo volume, which is about average for the segment.

We won’t exclude the possibility to see a couple of new things in terms of standard equipment but we are pretty sure that most of the things are about to remain the same as in the current model. Therefore, base models should come equipped with things like a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8.4-inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hot spot, a six-speaker audio system, USB ports, Bluetooth, dual-zone automatic climate control and push-button start.
Among upgrades, expect to find available features like a 10.1-inch touch screen, a 10.25-inch passenger-side touch screen, navigation, wireless device charging, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, a 19-speaker McIntosh audio system, HD Radio, satellite radio a rear-seat entertainment system, quad-zone automatic climate control, a sunroof, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof and remote start.
2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Engines
This is where we expect the biggest novelties for the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. According to the latest reports, this model year will come with the new 3.0-liter inline-six engine on offer. It looks like the new engine will come in two output variants, with 420 and 500 horsepower. We presume that this engine will replace the current 5.7-liter HEMI V8.
On the other hand, the base 3.6-liter V6 should remain the standard engine, with a max output of 293 horsepower. Of course, the hybrid version will continue in the same way. That model uses a system that’s based on a turbo-four engine and puts out a combined output of 375 horsepower.
2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Release Date and Price
The 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee should arrive sometime in the second half of 2023 and we presume that the starting price will go around 40.000 dollars. Of course, the Ford Explorer will remain the key rival, while models like Chevy Traverse and Toyota Highlander will also be among key competitors.
