The full-size luxury SUV was redesigned last year and brought so-needed improvements. The new model is superior in many ways but it looks like some LX lovers are still missing some of the old features. More precisely, it looks like they are missing to sound of the good-old V8 engine, which is why we can hear rumors about the comeback of the 2024 Lexus LX 570 these days. Theoretically, this could happen but not in North America.
Namely, rumors suggest that the Japanese manufacturer is considering offering this engine in certain parts of the world, particularly in the Middle East, where fuel efficiency doesn’t play an important role but the durability and proven design do. The V8 comeback would probably be appreciated in this part of the world, so we can’t dismiss this rumor just like that. Instead, we will speculate about it for a bit.

2024 Lexus LX 570 Engine
So, the main change, in this case, would be under the hood. The new generation came with a new engine, with a more efficient and torquier 3.4-liter turbo-four, which puts out 409 horsepower. The 2024 Lexus LX 570, on the other hand, would come with a good-old 5.7-lite V8, which has been used by the previous generation LX for years.
The last time we saw this engine was two years ago. That iteration featured a max output of 383 horsepower and 403 pound-feet of torque, so we may see a few modifications that would increase the power a bit. On the other hand, we wouldn’t expect to see any notable change regarding exterior design. The 2024 Lexus LX 570 would feature the same styling as the standard LX 600, with the new design language that accentuates ruggedness a little bit more than the previous generation but still keeps things looking very elegant and refined.
Under the skin, there is the new chassis and suspension setup, all based on the new TNGA-F architecture, which provides a lower center of gravity and better driving manners. Interior

The materials are really nice, and the attention to detail is impressive. All this is complemented by a long list of standard equipment, which includes a lot of tech features as well, including a couple of infotainment screens, a digital instrument cluster and all kinds of connectivity features.
The 2024 Lexus LX 570 would also offer the same amount of passenger and cargo space, which is less generous compared to most other full-size SUVs. Simply, the Japanese manufacturer didn’t want to sacrifice off-road potential, so the wheelbase remains pretty short for the segment. As a result, the optional third row is pretty tight, while the cargo area is probably the smallest in the class. On the other hand, the first two rows are quite spacy and comfortable.
Features
Once again, there are no significant changes we would expect to see in this case. Therefore, base models would come equipped with goodies like 12.3-inch and 7-inch touch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10-speaker premium stereo, a Wi-Fi hot spot, satellite radio, wireless device charging, navigation, Bluetooth, four USB ports, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster display, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a universal garage door opener and a moonroof.
Among upgrades, there is a 25-speaker Mark Levinson surround-sound stereo, a rear-seat entertainment system with two 11.4-inch displays, two additional USB ports, ambient interior lighting, and a console cooler.
When it comes to safety features, the list of standard equipment would include a surround-view camera, parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, rearview camera, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams etc.
