Chevy’s full-size SUV has always been considered a great family hauler but it can hardly be seen as a vehicle that’s fun to drive. This could change soon, with the third production year of the current generation. According to some sources, Chevy is working on a performance version, which would come with all kinds of upgrades, with the legendary SS badge. At this point, the officials are still quiet on this matter.
From what rumors suggest, the 2023 Chevy Tahoe SS would come with all kinds of upgrades. Naturally, we would see some suspension upgrades, along with upgraded brakes and a few more chassis modifications. Of course, we would also see some new styling details, which would accentuate the model’s performance character. Finally, we would all want to see something more capable under the hood of this performance version.

2023 Chevy Tahoe SS Design
As we’ve just mentioned, the 2023 Chevy Tahoe SS would be a high-performance version of the current generation and therefore, it would be heavily based on the standard versions. Still, we would see some pretty exclusive design solutions and features.
Of course, the mechanical aspect of the SUV is the one that comes to mind. We would see some suspension upgrades, but not in the way we can see in the Z71 trim. This would rather be a street-focused performer, so the suspension would be stiffer, while the ground clearance could be lower. Furthermore, we count on bigger brakes and a few more chassis modifications.
Naturally, we would also expect to see lots of exclusive styling details, which would accentuate the model’s performance character. This refers to things like more aggressive bumpers, new wheels, exclusive color options and similar things.
Interior
Naturally, interior upgrades are expected as well. We might see sporty features like exclusive color schemes and materials, as well as materials like aluminum. Furthermore, paddle shifters seem like a certain thing, along with the new steering wheel.
Still, the overall layout of the cabin would remain the same, so the dashboard would come with the same overall layout. We are talking about the supercharged version of the 6.2-liter V8 engine, which already powers models like the Chevy Camaro. In that iteration, it offers around 650 horsepower and we wouldn’t expect less power in the new SUV.
Of course, the engine would come in pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission, which would be specially tuned for this occasion.

This would probably be the most expensive version of the SUV. Therefore, we are pretty sure that the list of standard equipment would be very long.
Currently, base models come standard with goodies like a 10.2-inch touch screen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, satellite radio, HD Radio, Bluetooth, voice recognition, a six-speaker stereo, a Wi-Fi hot spot, eight USB ports, remote start, tri-zone automatic climate control, two household-style power outlets, and proximity keyless entry. Among upgrades, you can find goodies like a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless device charging, navigation, a second-row entertainment system, a nine-speaker Bose sound system, a 10-speaker Bose surround-sound stereo, a panoramic sunroof, a universal garage door opener, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
