Not so long ago, Hyundai surprised the whole automotive world with the quality of its brand-new Palisade. A few years later, we saw a mid-cycle update for the 2023 year and we are not eagerly waiting what will be the novelties for the 2024 Hyundai Palisade. Considering the recent refresh, we probably won’t see many of them, though some updates may happen. For example, we might see new color options and some additions to the list of standard equipment. We might even see a new appearance package.
In any case, we expect to see a familiar overall layout, with familiar specs and features. This means we are about to see a familiar design, both in terms of aesthetics and mechanics, which ensures a smooth and comfortable ride, along with many other qualities. The Palisade is well-known for its luxurious and well-equipped cabin, while the capable V6 ensures a smooth and convenient ride.
We expect that the 2024 Hyundai Palisade will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.
2024 Hyundai Palisade Design
So, as we mentioned, the 2024 Hyundai Palisade probably won’t feature any major changes. The mid-size refresh just happened and it brought big novelties in terms of styling. Of course, most of them happened at the front end, where can see new headlights, grille, bumper etc. – all designed in a bolder and more futuristic manner. Still, we won’t exclude the possibility to see some smaller-scale updates, such as new color options, or maybe a new appearance package. The officials have been quiet on this matter so far.
On the other hand, the mechanical aspect definitely won’t change and the next year’s model will continue with a familiar chassis and suspension setup, which ensures a smooth and comfortable ride. The suspension is soft and while that’s not great in terms of handling, the absorption of road imperfections is pretty impressive.
Interior
The recent refresh also brought notable changes on the inside, so we don’t believe that the 2024 Hyundai Palisade could come with more important updates. Instead, we expect to see a familiar layout, with all the recent updates, including the new, pretty massive infotainment screen. In any case, this cabin is very luxurious and offers a high level of comfort and convenience, thanks to high-quality materials, lots of standard equipment etc.
Besides build quality, there is also a pretty generous offer of passenger space. The front seats are massive and supportive, while the second row is also very generous with space. Typically for mid-size SUVs, the third row is a little bit tighter but still quite useful and practical.
The cargo area is also very generous with space, offering around 18 cubic feet of room behind the third row, 45.8 cubic feet behind the second row and 86.4 cubic feet of the total cargo volume. That’s very good for the segment.
Features
Novelties in this aspect are always possible but we don’t believe that many things could change in this aspect. Instead, we are pretty sure that most things will remain the same. Therefore, base models should come equipped with goodies like a 12.3-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, a Wi-Fi hot spot, voice recognition, satellite radio, HD Radio, Bluetooth, five USB ports, proximity keyless entry, remote start and push-button start.
Among available upgrades, expect to find goodies like a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, wireless device charging, an in-car intercom, a 115-volt household-style power outlet and additional USB ports, as well as a power sunroof, a dual-panel power sunroof, interior ambient LED lighting, the Hyundai Digital Key and dual-zone automatic climate control.
2024 Hyundai Palisade Engines
Turbo-fours may be more efficient and have more low-end torque, but they can never beat a good-old V6 when it comes to smoothness and refinement. That’s why we like the fact that the Palisade is still relying on the 3.8-liter V6, which puts out around 291 horsepower. The engine is very smooth and offers more than enough power for a convenient ride. It comes coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which is also pretty smooth and refined.
Base models feature front-wheel drive, while AWD versions are available too. When properly equipped, this SUV can tow around 5.000 pounds, which is typical for the class. What’s also typical for the class is fuel economy, which goes around 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
2024 Hyundai Palisade Release Date and Price
With no significant updates to come, we presume that the launch date of the 2024 Hyundai Palisade will be scheduled for the last quarter of the year. Base models should go around 36.500 dollars, while models like Honda Pilot, Nissan Pathfinder and VW Atlas will remain some of the key competitors.
