If we consider the 2022 refresh, as well as the fact that the previous iteration of Ford’s full-size SUV was characterized by pretty long production cycles, it becomes pretty indicative that the current generation, which has been around since 2018, still has a couple of good years before it receives a full redesign. As we’ve just mentioned, the 2024 Ford Expedition should be a typical carryover model. Therefore, we expect to see a familiar design, which has been updated for the 2022 model year, with new aesthetics. The new front end looks very nice, so there’s no doubt the current model will remain fresh for a few more years. The mechanical aspect should also remain untouched. The Expedition isn’t particularly engaging to drive but on the other hand, it is smooth and comfortable. The Platinum trim comes with adaptive suspension and offers an even smoother ride.
The last year’s update also brought the Timberline trim, which is the most capable off-roader in the lineup. This version should also continue in the same way, with familiar off-road upgrades, such as off-road shocks, 32-inch all-terrain tires, an electronic limited-slip differential, a two-speed transfer case, skid plates etc.
Interior
The same thing is with the interior design, which received a lot of new tech features with the 2022 update. Therefore, the 2024 Ford Expedition shouldn’t look much different. The dashboard looks bold and rugged and clearly indicates Expedition’s truck DNA. However, the materials are fine and the build quality is good, while the higher trim levels even look pretty luxurious with leather and other premium materials.
Still, the Expedition’s main strength is passenger space, which is very generous. All three rows are pretty impressive in terms of leg and headroom and accommodate adult passengers with ease. Therefore, it can easily fit 8 people pretty easily.

If you need more space, there is the long-wheelbase Expedition Max, which increases cargo capacity to 36 cubic feet of room behind the third row, up to 79.6 cubic feet behind the second row and 121.5 cubic feet of the total volume.

Of course, some things could be added to the list of standard equipment but even if these changes happen, they will be minimal. The 2024 Ford Expedition should continue mostly in the same way. So, base versions should come equipped with goodies like a 12-inch touch screen, a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker stereo, four USB ports, voice recognition, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster display, tri-zone automatic climate control and a universal garage door opener.

The driving dynamics are very good, while the 10-speed automatic transmission delivers quick, on-time and smooth shifts.
